What is an Accredited Investor?

Over the last year, I’ve heard a lot of buzz about using alternative investments. However, most people don’t know you need to be an accredited investor to invest in these products. On this episode, I’m breaking down alternative investments, how to become an accredited investor, and my personal thoughts on investing outside normal investment accounts.

Things to COnsider:

Certain non-registered investments are considered alternative investments. These products may offer greater diversification and returns compared to traditional investment options. The five main categories of alternative investments include: hedge funds, private capital, natural resources, real estate, and infrastructure. Since these investments carry high risk, the government requires you to become an accredited investor before you can invest.
